Prime Minister Mr John Key Announces a rise of $30 million funding for Tourism New Zealand. This gives Tourism New Zealand a total funding from the New Zealand Government of $99 million for the 2010-2011 year. Tourism New Zealand has told the Government it's aiming to attract an additional 400,000 visitors per year, mainly from Australia, the United States, China & Germany over three years. With the average visitor spending more than $2,500 per visit. This is great news for people in the hospitality trade.
